The beauty and awe of God’s creation unveiled in the birth of humanity becomes blurred, distorted and meaningless when sin reigns in our mortal bodies. Every human being that has ever been born has the potential to become a perfect being, when he or she shuns sin, and is born into the family of God. But when a human being rejects God and continues tobecome a slave to sin, he’s sowing seeds of destruction.
The Eternal, the Creator of the Universe, told Israel the formula to avoid sowing the seeds of destruction. “See I have set before thee this day life and good and death and evil.” Deut. 29:15. In verse 19, he advises, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life that both thou and thy see may live.” The formula still applies to sinning humanity today, who has never faltered in its thousands of years of history to act out its nature of open revolt against God, “adding sin to sin,” and putting to shame, the supreme sacrifice of the anointed Christ… From an upcoming sermon The Seeds of Destruction.
