God wants us to learn to love and desire Him with an eternal hunger and thirst for righteousness so we can receive eternal life.

The Desire is the Measure of the Supply

Physical hunger compared to spiritual hunger.

If you eat a meal you get full.

With spiritual hunger it’s the opposite; the less you eat, the more your appetite declines. But the more we hunger and thirst after God’s Word, the more we want.
