The Desire is the Measure of the Supply
Physical hunger compared to spiritual hunger.
If you eat a meal you get full.
With spiritual hunger it’s the opposite; the less you eat, the more your appetite declines. But the more we hunger and thirst after God’s Word, the more we want.

We physically fast to spiritually feast.
