The riots in England this week were horrific. As we watched feral children, some as young as 11, smashing and stealing for no reason other than greed, we have to ask what happened to their parents? Specifically, where are their fathers? Moral values need to be embedded in children from an early age.

Prov. 22:6 ¶ Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

When psychologists in the 1960s started to teach that disciplining children was unnecessary and governments followed by making it illegal for parents to discipline their children, we should have predicted the lawlessness that plagued England this week.

The crisis in parenting has been amplified by the greed of fashion, video gaming, and music manufacturers and retailers. In an effort to increase profits, they have glorified gang culture and made gang fashion aspirational. Our children are growing up wishing to look and sound like gang members.

We are in perilous times.

2Tim. 3:1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2Tim. 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2Tim. 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

2Tim. 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
