Are you thinking of joining us for a service? You are most welcome! We realize it can be a bit intimidating to visit a new church for the first time, so we’ve created this page to give you an idea of what to expect. If you have additional questions, please feel free to submit them here.

Heritage

CGI Toronto has a rich heritage. As part of the Church of God, we are from a long line of believers who worship God in spirit and in truth. Consequently, our service is a blend of spirited praise and true doctrine. Should you choose to worship with us, you will hear the Bible expounded in insightful ways. It will come alive and it will make sense. You will have the sense that a great light has been turned on, and for the first time you are understanding the meaning and purpose of your life.

Upon Arrival

When you arrive, you’ll be met by door greeters and ushers who will orient you and help you to find a seat. Our service begins with congregational hymns and an opening prayer. This is followed by a sermonette, a Bible reading and contemporary praise songs. We then have a time of intercessory prayer where we will seek God’s mercy and intervention for those in need. If you would like us to pray for you, please submit your request here.

The Sermon

The next part of the service is the sermon where the scriptures are expounded in a thought provoking way. We end with congregational hymns, and finally a closing prayer.

Praise & Worship

You will also be uplifted by the thoroughly engaging and spirited way our congregation sings praises to our great God. Your mind will be engaged and your heart uplifted. By the end of the service you will be energized, refreshed and ready to overcome any personal challenges facing you during the coming week.

Time of Worship

We worship every Sabbath from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. and brethren generally fellowship after the service has finished for several hours. We believe we have a great balance of structure and authentic expression. Everyone is welcome. Please join us. Click here for directions.
