The purpose of the Men’s ministry is to prepare men as leaders in the Church of God by affording opportunities to discover and thereby exercise their God-given gifts and abilities.
We want to achieve a high percentage of participation by the men in our congregation. Our activities include public speaking and training, prayer groups, mentoring programs, doctrinal education, and various committees engaging in special projects.
To participate in this ministry, you need to be man who is humble, loving and faithful with a desire to continually learn and improve.
How will the program contribute to the congregation?
The Men’s Fellowship Program will contribute to CGI Toronto by creating more unity and peace between the men, and ultimately throughout the congregation.
Through our doctrinal workshops, Men’s Christian Development Class (MCDC), and other program activities, we will contribute to the maturing of our congregation in the stature and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Our program will develop assertive and confident leaders. Men that will look forward to receiving constructive criticism in order to grow and develop their character. Men that will take initiative and seek to serve in areas that are needed.
In addition, the Men’s Christian Development Class will be used as a platform to train and develop new speakers for the church.
What do we plan to accomplish in the coming year?
- Maximum participation by the men in all Men’s Fellowship activities
- Have the presence of the Men’s Fellowship felt in the congregation through ushering, effective prayers, sermonettes, and other forms of serving
- A closer, more unified bond between the men
- Church speakers model the lessons taught in the Men’s Program
