Are You Ready? Come To The Feast Of Tabernacles! By Dwight Chin If any true Christian is to understand the nature and plan of God for mankind, they must keep the annual Holy Day festivals of God! Only by keeping these festivals can a man or woman truly discover the meaning of life after death. Jesus Christ’s redemptive work is shown throughout each festival. 1)
THE PASSOVER shows Christ’s sacrifice for sin!
His life’s blood being poured out for mankind!
2) THE DAYS OF UNLEAVENED BREAD show Jesus Christ living in every truly converted Christian; delivering us from sin, by the power of the Holy Spirit. 3) THE FEAST OF PENTECOST is a kind of birthday of the Church, when Jesus sent the other Comforter; the Spirit of the Father. It shows God calling but a select few to rule in tomorrow’s world! A kind of first fruit! It shows hat he is not trying to save the world now, but will at a later date! 4) THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS pictures Christ’s return to this earth, the trumpets plagues in Revelation, and the true gospel message going out to the world by the Church of God! 5) THE DAY OF ATONEMENT is a fast day that shows final AT-ONE-MENT with God in His soon coming government—the kingdom of God here on earth. Satan will be bound, unable to deceive the nations any more! 6) THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES pictures us, the real us, the new creature in Christ, living in a temporal human body! It also points to the permanent Kingdom of God, a foretaste of the Kingdom, the millennial reign of Christ! 7) THE LAST GREAT DAY pictures the final great resurrection of all those that died, never receiving or understanding the true Gospel of God! It pictures the Great White Throne Judgment and the completion of the plan of God for mankind! None of the major pagan holidays such as Christmas and Easter (Satan’s counterfeit holidays intended to offset God’s plan for mankind) can ever compare to the AWESOME, MAGNIFICENT, WONDERFUL Feast of Tabernacles of God. It is a time when the people of God leave this world behind (figuratively speaking) for 8 days and go to a place where God has placed His name. It is a glorious time of true fellowship with brethren of like mind (spiritual family members). It is a time in which the word of God is expounded daily by God’s ministers. A time to sing praises to God. A time to take a member of God’s Spiritual family (who you might be meeting for the first time) out for dinner! A time in which you take your second tithe (yes second tithe) that you saved during the year and purchase for yourself, family, or friends whatever your heart desires (in the context of God’s laws, of course). It is a time to take a quiet stroll and marvel at God’s creation. A time to have barbecues and much, much more! On the eighth day, the Last Great Day of the feast, we leave with absolutely wonderful memories shared with members of God’s Family! Jesus says, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." The apostle John also writes: "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous" (I John 5:3). There is nothing whatsoever grievous about keeping the Feast of Tabernacles! Jesus Christ is the God of the Old Testament (He changes not), and He commands our attendance at the Feast of Tabernacles, as well as all the other Holy Days mentioned above! Many in the world of Christendom will have us believe these are the feasts of the Jewish people! But this is not so. God says, "Speak unto the children of Israel (this also extends to spiritual Israel, the church), and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts" (Leviticus 23:2). Did you notice that? These are God’s feasts. God commands, "And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, "Speak unto the children of Israel (extends to spiritual Israel, the church), saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. "On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. "Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein" (Leviticus 23: 33-36). The Feast of Tabernacles is one of the most important festivals of God’s Holy Days. People who refuse to keep the feast now, will be absolutely forced to keep the feast in the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ here on earth. "And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. "And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. "And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. "This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles" (Zechariah 14:16-19). Again I say, if you are to truly understand the plan of God for mankind, then you must keep His feasts—which, by the way, are not grievous! Are you ready friends? Come to the feast of Tabernacles, and enjoy a GLORIOUS time with brethren of like mind! This year the Canadian feast site is being held in beautiful Niagara Falls!
